You get what you pay for.....it's a budget hotel so don't expect anything great. The room was a little gloomy because it was painted brown . The blanket was also brown. A towel and a soap/shampoo/moisturiser was provided. There is a restaurant where breakfast can be had on order . The other meals can be arranged on payment. My stay would have been a sad story if it had not been for Anil Arora who ran the place . Bubbly, positive ,always smiling , giving useful information ,he made up for all the short-comings of the hotel.....

Hotel was not in executive class but service and environment was beyond one. Excellent service by hotel staff and proper follow up. Caring for food and help rendered as we required. Nice stay and enjoyed everything.

Ok for a budget hotel

There is not much choice at Anandpur Sahib. This one is quite close to Gurudwara Keshgarh sahib, so went for it. Stayed here for three nights. Pros: 1. I guess the only hotel/lodge/PG at Anandpur Sahib with in-house restaurant. 2. Taste of food at Restaurant is more than average (3 on 5) 3. Hotel has solar heater water supply throughout the day. Cons: 1. Hotel has a restaurant with limited items available upto 10 PM. Half of the menu is just not available. 2. It has a banquet hall. It becomes noisy sometimes, when parties are running. 3. Rooms have very basic furniture, making it more like a budget lodge. But that's OK at the price quoted. 4. Bathrooms are smelly, they don't have exhaust fans.

Eerie, but clean

There isn't much of a choice for hotels in Anandpur Sahib and this one had the best reviews. It is generally clean, but there is a eerie and has a concrete, cold feel to the hotel. For tourists, I suggest staying in Chandigarh and making Anandpur Sahib an easy day trip so that you can skip the budget or eerie hotels. It felt like we were the only ones staying in the hotel. The staff was generally helpful for basic questions and needs. There is no heating - which can be a problem in colder months. They will rent you a tiny space heater if you request one. If you must stay in Anandpur Sahib, I would reluctantly recommend this one. It's relatively clean and in an excellent location to the temple, fort and museum. Just keep your expectations in check. It's just a relatively clean bed. Most rooms don't have showers, and those that do, apparently only have cold water running through them. We didn't try breakfast - langar at the temple is likely significantly better or the restaurant in the museum is pretty reasonable, tasty (indian and western food) and has a fantastic view of the museum and its ponds.
